Lee Jin-young, who wore KIA's uniform with 58th pick in the second 6th round in the 2016 rookie draft, succeeded in double-digit home runs for the first time in eight seasons since his debut. In a series of opportunities with two outs and runners on first and third bases, first baseman Seo Ho-chul attempted to steal second base when Kim Joo-won was at bat, and third baseman Martin hit home while the catcher's throw was heading to second base. First base runner Seo Hochul is out. It was the moment when NC turned the game around 7-6.
In the end, NC added four more runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to seal the game. With one out and a runner on third base, Kim Joo-won hit an RBI single to center field. (8-6) With two outs and runners on first and second bases, Choi Jung-won hit a two-run timely triple to the right-center and Park Kun-woo hit a timely double to make it 11-6. In the end, the game ended with NC's victory over the crisis of loading the bases with two outs in the top of the ninth inning.
